नगरों का नाम   बदलने की भक्तों ने प्रथा चलाई जिसे देख त्योहारों ने भी अपनी व्यथा सुनाई दीवाली बोली , अली से कब मुझ को मुक्ति दिलवाओ गे दीपावली से वली शब्द का कब कलंक मिटाओ गे होली बोली, मेरा   ली भी चीन के जैसा   लगता है दशहरा का हरा हमें नापाक की   साजिश लगता है हम त्योहारों का, संघी जी कब   सम्मान लौटाओ गे नाम बदल कर आप हमारे अच्छे दिन कब लाओगे विनती करते है हम मिल कर, थोड़ा सा   उपकार करो दीन दयाल और अटल नाम से अपना भी श्रृंगार करो होली जब अपने नए नाम से अटलोलिका कहलाएगी दीवाली दीनदयाली बन निज भाग्य पर इतराए गी दशभगवा पर रावण की प्रतिमा   जब फूंकी जाए गी नव भारत की भव्य कल्पना स्वत : साकार हो जाये गी|

The biggest ignorance ( part 1) Before we talk about the topic under discussion. We may touch upon the basic question what is ignorance or agyan. Ignorance is certainly not bliss. In simple words ignorance is lack of knowledge or gyan. And for attaining gyan you need some medium, we may call it guru for our purpose. Gyan takes us from darkness to light. Gyan has a myriad types and stages from a basic knowledge of say learning some signage, alphabets or speech to brahm-gyan, the knowledge of the Supreme. Having said so, we now come to our main topic what is the biggest ignorance. For this, let me pose you a question Who Am I? Most will say, I am the body. Now that is what I call the biggest ignorance.   Our family has been associated with Nanaksar sampraday ( one of the schools of Sikhism) for about 100 years since the times of its founder Baba Nand Singhji . Though,all the sangis   (devotees) of Nanaksar have been showered with spiritual and material blessings, a few have had such experiences which appear unbelievable to many.   I tell you a true story as told by my late uncle (tayaji) S Kirpal Singh. The year was most probably 1965. Baba Ishar Singh who had succeeded Baba Nand Singhji had planned to build a 13 storied Gurudwara   Nanaksar building at his birthplace in village Jhoradan in Ludhiana district of Punjab to commemorate his first meeting with his mentor Baba Nand Singh who visited this village during his preaching tours.   This place was about twelve miles from the main Nanaksar Gurdwara, the headquarters of the sampraday located at village Kaleran near the township of Jagraon in Punjab. Without prejudice and ill will even for his tormentors, Guru Arjun  made the supreme sacrifice for upholding the human values of equality and tolerance. Guru Arjun Dev, the fifth Guru of the Sikhs was an epitome of tolerance and liberal values. As evidenced by his inclusion of hymns of both the Hindu and the Muslim saints in Guru Granth Sahib ( Adi granth) the holy scripture and living Guru of the Sikhs at present,which he compiled and edited. Besides, the architecture of Golden Temple or Harimandir Sahib the holiest of Sikh Shrines which he founded having four doors facing each direction symbolised welcome for all the people without any discrimination and bears a testimony to his openness of mind. The free kitchen open to all without the distinction of cast colour or creed near the HariMandir further strengthened the belief in humanitarian values of the Sikh faith.
